1. What’s an eSIM?
An eSIM is a modern SIM that’s built directly into your device. It lets you connect to mobile networks without needing to insert a physical SIM card.
Tahlava plans are ready to use with built-in eSIM technology, so you can get connected without changing SIM cards.
2. How does Tahlava work with eSIM?
Tahlava uses eSIM technology to connect you to local networks at your destination. When your plan ends or you need more data, you can simply top up and continue using the same eSIM — no need to install a new one.
3. When should I set up my eSIM?
You can install your eSIM before you travel to get everything ready in advance. This will not start your plan or use any data.
Your plan only starts when you turn on the eSIM at your destination. That’s when the validity period and data usage begin. Since plans last for a fixed number of days, activating it after you arrive helps you get the most out of your plan.
4. Can I use my eSIM to share internet with other devices?
Yes. If your device supports hotspot or tethering, you can use your eSIM connection to share internet with other devices like a laptop or tablet.
When multiple devices are connected, your data will be used faster since everything comes from the same plan. If you share often, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on how much data you have left.
5. What happens if I need more data?
In most cases, you can continue using the same eSIM and simply add more data. This means no reinstallation and no interruptions — just top up and keep going.
If you run out of data or need more during your trip, you can easily buy a top-up or a new plan through your Tahlava account.
6. Which networks will my eSIM connect to?
Your Tahlava eSIM automatically connects to supported local networks in your destination. You don’t need to choose or change networks manually — your device will use the best available option.
iPhone (iOS)
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data)
3. Tap Add eSIM
4. Choose Use QR Code
5. Scan the QR code you received from Tahlava
6. Follow the on-screen steps to finish setup
7. Go to Cellular → Tahlava eSIM → Turn ON Data Roaming
Android
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections or Network & Internet
3. Tap SIM Manager or Mobile
Network
4. Tap Add eSIM or Add Mobile Plan
5. Choose Scan QR Code
6. Scan the QR code you received from Tahlava
7. Follow the on-screen steps to complete setup
8. Go to SIM Settings → Tahlava eSIM → Turn ON Data Roaming
Important Notes
• Installing the eSIM does not start your plan
• Only turn it on when you arrive at your destination
• Data roaming must be enabled for the eSIM to work
• Keep your QR code until setup is finished
7. What do I need to use a Tahlava eSIM?
Not all devices support eSIM. Before getting started, make sure your device:
• ✓ Supports eSIM technology
• ✓ Is unlocked and not limited to one network
• ✓ Has not been modified (no jailbreaking or rooting)
